CatalogWitness

Terms of service

Terms version: September 6, 2026.

CatalogWitness is offered by Pytrel Systems LLC (“we,” “us”). These terms govern your purchase and use of CatalogWitness. By purchasing or using the product, you agree to them. You must be an adult and authorized to act for the business whose data you use.

The product you are buying

The free hosted workbench compares supported customer-supplied files and displays findings. CatalogWitness Professional costs $199 USD once, plus applicable taxes displayed before payment. There is no subscription, automatic renewal, per-report fee, or time-based license expiry.

Professional grants a nonexclusive license to use the downloaded current version indefinitely for one business and up to three people total, including the purchaser. Agencies may use it for client projects. You may generate unlimited comparisons, reruns and reports within the published limits: 12 MB and 50,000 data rows per file, 150 columns per file, 30 mapped fields, and 500,000 identity-by-field checks per comparison. Optional pricing checks are limited to 250,000 evaluations per run, calculated as identities × enabled rules × two stages (expected and actual). The three-person allowance is a contractual limit.

The purchased version includes the comparison tool and HTML, CSV and JSON evidence exports. Download the ZIP, extract it, and open the included HTML file in a compatible desktop browser with JavaScript enabled. The downloaded tool processes your files and generates reports on your device without an internet connection. Hosted Professional functions are available while the hosted service operates. The perpetual license applies to the downloaded current version; it does not promise indefinite hosting, compatibility with every future browser, future features or updates forever. No future paid update program is established by these terms.

Your data and responsibility

You retain rights to your files and reports and must have permission to process the data. Catalog contents are processed on your device. You choose identities, scope, field mappings and target values, and must review results before taking business action. Avoid including passwords, card details or unnecessary sensitive information.

What a report establishes

A report records comparisons of supplied values under selected settings. It is not certification, professional advice, proof of approval, proof of store origin, or a guarantee of successful import or migration. Completeness, platform behavior, images, storefront presentation and unselected fields are outside scope. Read the supported workflow before purchase.

Payment and delivery

Stripe processes the one-time payment. After verified payment, save the purchaser and team access keys and download your software. Hosted paid access and subsequent software downloads require a fresh payment-status check. Save a backup of the delivered software and your own files. An already delivered offline version does not depend on a hosted access check to run. Your access keys and download are provided on the payment confirmation page. Save them there; access keys are not sent automatically by email.

You request immediate digital delivery at checkout. The refund policy provides a seven-day initial-purchase full refund window and preserves mandatory rights. A pending refund or dispute may suspend hosted paid access. A successful full refund ends the Professional license; you must stop using downloaded Professional software, although you may retain reports already created. We cannot remotely erase downloaded software or reports. If delivery fails, contact support without paying again.

Permitted use

You may share reports with clients. Do not resell or publicly distribute Professional software or access keys, allow use outside your licensed business and three-person allowance, interfere with availability, violate others’ rights, or present a report as independent certification. Keep access keys and software backups secure.

Availability and remedies

We will provide the expressly described software and export functions with reasonable care. Hosting can be interrupted or discontinued; the downloaded version remains usable independently, subject to compatible local equipment and these terms. We do not promise an availability percentage, revenue outcome or error-free results. Material delivery or product defects remain subject to the refund policy and rights that cannot be excluded.

Responsibility and liability

Except for express commitments and rights that cannot be excluded, the product is provided as available without a warranty that every input or comparison is error-free or suitable for a particular decision. Validate source completeness and review findings before changing a store or accepting work.

For business users, to the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss caused by inaccurate or incomplete customer inputs. Our aggregate liability arising from the product is limited to the greater of $199 USD or the fees you paid for it. This does not restrict expressly promised refunds or liability that cannot legally be limited, including fraud or intentional misconduct. Mandatory consumer protections remain available.

Ending a license and changes

We may suspend hosted access or terminate a license for material misuse or unlawful activity, subject to applicable law. Where reasonably possible, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to resolve it. Changes to these terms apply prospectively and do not create a renewal charge or shorten an already purchased perpetual license. No recurring payment authorization is requested.

Contact and disputes

CatalogWitness is operated by Pytrel Systems LLC. Use the support page for delivery, billing, privacy or product questions. Business contact address: 15015 Denison Ave, Charlotte NC 28278, United States.

Please contact us first so we can attempt to resolve an issue. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or prevent a claim in a court available under applicable law. Applicable law determines governing law and jurisdiction unless a separate valid agreement states otherwise. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues where lawful.
